BGP Mission Control — Desktop App
The optional macOS companion for the BGP browser extension.
First launch — important
Because the app is distributed independently (not via the Mac App Store), macOS asks you to approve it once:
- Right-click (or Control-click) the app → Open → Open.
- After that first time, it opens normally like any other app.
What it adds
The extension works on its own. The desktop app unlocks the local features:
- Run AI on your own machine (free & private) via Ollama — nothing leaves your computer.
- Local file tools — Organize Music, Tidy Desktop, media organizing.
- Local brain sync between the extension and desktop.
How to connect it
Install and open the app once. Then open a new browser tab — the dot in the top-left of the dashboard turns green when the extension and app are connected.
